Knockout is a brand-new core multiplayer mode that is set to make its debut in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Call of Duty fan given that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 have officially been revealed. In recent days, Activision and Infinity Ward have stepped up their promotional campaigns in-person as well, inviting content creators to get hands-on experience with an early build of MW2 via an early-access event.
Thanks to CharlieIntel, players can now expect Knockout to be one of the brand-new multiplayer game modes dropping with Modern Warfare 2.

Knockout is a 6-v-6, round-based mode that essentially blends together Gunfight from Modern Warfare (2019) with core multiplayer.
Players on each side will have one life per round, and can be downed and revived like in Warzone.
The objective is to either wipe the enemy team or control a location where a bag will drop until a timer runs out.
At the time of publication, it is unclear how much time each round would last, as well as how many rounds it takes to win or what the overtime procedures would be.
Ultimately, this certainly sounds like a promising game type for fans of Gunfight, Search and Destroy and adjacent modes.
